Fees and Insurance
Private Pay
My current out-of-pocket fees are $260 per session. Initial session is 55 minutes, and follow-up sessions are 50 minutes long. Occasionally, longer sessions are recommended and may be arranged ahead of time if clinically indicated. In such cases, fees will be prorated based on time spent in session.
If you are interested in a longer 90-minute initial consultation (that allows for preliminary assessment and initial stages of treatment), please let me know ahead of time, so that an extended intake session could be arranged. The fees for an extended intake session are $390.
Lyra Health and Modern Health
I am an in-network provider with Lyra Health and Modern Health. Please consult with your employer to verify the number of sessions covered by your insurance, as well as their late cancellation coverage. Clients needing services beyond the number of sessions covered by Lyra or Modern Health are welcome to continue by paying for services out of pocket.
Medical Health Insurances
I am currently an out-of-network provider for all services except Lyra and Modern Health. This means that all therapy charges will be out of pocket. I will be happy to provide you with a detailed bill for the services (called a Superbill) so you can seek reimbursement from your insurance company. Please look into your explanation of benefits or contact your insurance company directly for out-of-network coverage for mental health and telemedicine. Please note that, in all cases, you are responsible for full payment at the time of service, and for any communication with your insurance.
Cancellation Policy
I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you miss the appointment or cancel within 48 hours, a full session fee will be charged at the time of your scheduled appointment. If you are using Lyra benefits, please note that Lyra does not always cover late cancellations, and you may be responsible for the full session fee out of pocket. Please consult with your employer or Lyra representative for further details.
A late cancellation fee may be waived, at my discretion, in case of a true emergency. Additionally, I waive the fee if we are able to reschedule your appointment within the same calendar week.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including psychotherapy services. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
